It's been (and continues to be) a jam-packed week, but here I am, finally sharing an INSPIRE SUMMIT update. I attended the International Luxury Hotel Association (ILHA)'s annual luxury hospitality conference held at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel Miami. Hurricane season called for a rescheduling of the trade event and as luck would have it, the dates and location were changed to the first week of December in Miami - coincidentally announced shortly after I booked a long overdue trip to the Sunshine State.
What an aptly named conference it was! The inspiration flowed wherever you looked or listened. Client engagements and preparations for an upcoming offline trip to the Amazon meant I had to leave earlier on both days. It sure was a challenge to leave that ballroom...
Alas, all is certainly not lost as I managed to meet dozens of interesting professionals as well as witness panel discussions and talks from creative business minds at the likes of Virgin Voyages, Blue Horse Hotel Management, Gerber Group, The Black Tomato Group, MADE Hotel, Marquis Los Cabos and more.
A mindset-shifting talk on earned experiences by Tom Marchant (Co-Founder & CEO of The Black Tomato Group)- and a reminder of our limitless possibilities courtesy of Virgin Voyages CEO Tom McAlpin, particularly resonated with me and stirred up my once-dormant entrepreneurial spirit.
Look out for coverage of the conference's speed networking event as seen through one writer's set of eyes (my own).
